Gülçin Santırcıoğlu

She was born on July 25, 1977. She studied Opera and Vocal Performance in the Performing Arts Department at Dokuz Eylül University Conservatory. She began her career in 2004 with the TV series ‘Aynalar’. Her first feature film ‘Turev’  won the Best Film award at the 2005 Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. For her role as ‘Süreyya’ in this film, she received the “Most Promising Actress” award at the 13th ÇASOD Awards. She gained a large fan base with her role as ‘Hatice’ in the TV series ‘Elveda Rumeli’.

In 2007, she appeared in ‘Yumurta (Egg)’, the first film of director Semih Kaplanoğlu’s trilogy (Yumurta, Süt, Bal). The film won awards at various national and international festivals. In 2008, her third feature film İki Çizgi (Two Lines), in which she shared the leading role with Kaan Keskin, participated in more than 30 national and international festivals, including the 65th Venice Film Festival and the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. She later appeared in many successful film and TV projects.
